Hotel Jan Maria

One week stay with half board; renovated hotel in an excellent position. Rooms suitable for the price with comfortable bathroom. The sheets were not changed during the stay. Wool blanket in very poor condition like never found in a mountain hotel. A duvet would certainly have been more appreciated. Below average breakfast compared to other facilities, not very varied and with poor quality products. Lactose-free milk always present (at our request) except one morning when we were told that it had run out and was not included in the shopping. (Supermarket no more than 200m away, it would have been a special treat to send someone to pick it up for breakfast). Sore point are the dinners... plentiful but of poor quality, pasta always overcooked, everything on average too salty; also in this case raw materials not up to par. It's unfortunate that the always attentive and kind owners surround themselves with such rude waiters (we witnessed more than one loud argument between them and even the simple request for a paper cup, although satisfied, arouses discontent). Recommended for groups or school trips without any pretense. Rated three stars of encouragement.

We stayed two nights in this centrally located, family-run hotel. The room was on the 4th floor, large, clean and spacious, with a comfortable terrace. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Very good breakfast, with excellent croissants and cakes, dinner however could be improved. There is also a spa, which we did not use, and a nice car park. Recommended hotel for a good holiday in the mountains.

5 stars are few, an ideal structure for spending a holiday with the family. Perfect location, comfortable and always spotless rooms, convenient private parking, perfect spa after a day on the Dolomite trails. Excellent cuisine with a wide choice of dishes, plentiful and excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Exquisite and very nice owners, well-trained and always kind and helpful staff. A perfect holiday!!!

We left the hotel this morning after 5 days of stay. I am happy to have chosen the Jan Maria hotel and I recommend it both for its availability, for example in changing the menu for my daughter, and for the kindness of all the staff. Our room, in addition to being very beautiful and modern, we always found it clean and fragrant. The food is always very good with quality raw materials, with an elegant presentation and with excessively abundant quantities. We will definitely return to beautiful Canazei and we will definitely return to the Jan Maria hotel!
